Originally from a small town in Northwest Montana, Derek graduated from Pacific University in 2010 with a degree in Environmental Biology. As a student, Derek enjoyed connecting with families and students as a tour guide and student worker in the Admissions Office. After ten years in the admissions field Derek still gets to travel and work with families extensively in the Pacific Northwest, his favorite being those areas a little further from civilization.
