Marie Morris, Beyond 18 College Consulting, is an independent education consultant in Portland Or. In addition to consulting for almost 11 years, she has been an ASPIRE mentor at Beaverton High School since 2007, mentoring first generation students. Professional memberships include: Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), National College Advocacy Group (NCAG), NACAC, PNACAC and Portland Area College Consultants Consortium. Marie served as the Community Rep chair for HECA, connecting college admissions reps with independent consultants, and now serves as elected Director at Large on the HECA board. She initiated HECA's government relations committee after attending Advocacy Days with NACAC, encouraging HECA members to become more involved in their local ACACs. Marie also serves on the Government Relations Committee for PNACAC. Portland Area College Consultants Consortium is a group of school and independent consultants whose goal is collaboration and sharing best practices. Marie has presented on many relevant topics for both school counselors and independent consultants.
